Peru is the Best International Destination of 2024

VIAJES National Geographic magazine has published the list of winners of its readers' vote for the best destinations, hotels and tourist attractions of 2024, and Peru has landed in first place in the list of international destinations.

The diversity of the country is one of the main reasons for this recognition, as the publication highlights that "traveling to Peru is like entering a fantastic world", in reference to the different habitats that can be found in the country: Coast, Mountain Range, Jungle and Desert; which adds up to the mix of history, flavor and nature that can be found in each of them.

Destinations such as Machu Picchu, Cusco and the Sacred Valley of the Incas appear as some of the most emblematic and preferred by the voters. Also, destinations such as Arequipa and the National Reserves of the Amazon (Manu, Nauta, Tambopata, Pacaya Samiria) are highlighted for their historical and natural heritage, respectively.
