Lima will host the Pan American Games 2027

Sports fans reunite!

Lima will once again host the most important multi-sport festival in the Americas: The 2027 Pan American Games. The organizing body Panam Sports selected the city last Tuesday after a vote that excluded the Paraguayan capital Asuncion's bid.

The decision comes after both cities announced their bids last month, after Colombia's Barranquilla was stripped of its hosting rights for failing to meet its contractual obligations.

A few years ago, Peru shook the continent with its excitement for the 2019 edition of the event. Now, with more experience and spectacular infrastructure, it will most likely repeat and improve on the success it achieved then.

PanAm Sports represents the 41 National Olympic Committees of the Americas, with different sports categories such as Athletics, Basketball, Baseball, Fencing, Football, Gymnastics, Field Hockey, Judo, Karate, Swimming, Surfing, Taekwondo, Rugby, Tennis, Table Tennis, Volleyball, among others.

The 2027 Pan American Games are scheduled to take place in July 2027. We will have more news about this event soon, during which Lima will become a party.
