This program will take you through the most iconic attractions of three of the most important destinations in southern Peru. You will marvel at the majestic Misti volcano looming over the city of Arequipa as you stroll through its charming streets; immerse yourself in the traditions of the indigenous communities of Lake Titicaca; and finish this journey through the Sacred Valley and the amazing Machu Picchu.

  • Today, you will be welcomed by our representative and taken to your hotel located near the airport.

    Overnight in Lima

  • Early in the morning, you'll board your flight to Arequipa. Your guide will meet you at the airport and take you to your hotel to get prepared to start your city tour. You will stroll through the charming streets, with Arequipa’s distinctive white volcanic sillar stone buildings. On this tour we will visit the Yanahuara Mirador, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the city and the majestic Misti volcano, the Cathedral, and the Santa Catalina Monastery.

  • Today you will learn where the typical white color of Arequipa's buildings, the "sillar", comes from. We will see the whole process of extracting and carving this mineral.

    You'll have the opportunity to visit skilled artisans working with sillar, using traditional techniques to carve and sculpt intricate pieces.

    In the afternoon you will have time to explore the city on your own.

  • Early morning departure to Colca Canyon, the world's second deepest canyon, where Andean culture has preserved its way of life for centuries. Majestic volcanoes form the backdrop of the alpine landscape as you venture into this breathtaking valley.

  • This tour provides a taste of Colca Canyon's natural beauty, cultural richness, and the chance to witness the magnificent condors.

    As the sun rises over the canyon, you will depart for Cruz del Condor, a fantastic viewpoint where you will have the best chance to see the Andean Condor. Seeing groups of these enormous birds with 10-foot wingspans glide by at such close range is unforgettable.

    We continue our journey to Puno and along the paved road we will pass through small towns and a beautiful lagoon called Lagunillas where you can see trout farms and if you are lucky, Andean flamingos and many other Andean birds. In the evening you will arrive at your hotel on the shores of Lake Titicaca.

  • Today you will explore and experience the islands and cultures of Lake Titicaca. The first stop will be the floating islands of Uros, where local families build not just their houses but also boats and whole islands out of reeds.

    Later, the natural island of Taquile, where you will learn about local traditions and island culture and have the chance to enjoy more awe-inspiring views before returning to Puno.

  • This morning you'll be picked up at your hotel and transferred to the train station in Puno for an unforgettable day's train ride from the shores of Lake Titicaca to Cusco. Enjoy a gourmet lunch served in the dining car, an open-air observation car, and spectacular scenery as you travel through the Peruvian highlands to the imperial city of Cusco.

  • During your private tour of Cuzco, the capital of the Inca Empire, you will visit Sacsayhuaman, an immense Incan complex with impressive stonework; Koricancha, one of the most important Incan temples (the walls were once coated in gold!), and Cuzco's Cathedral where you will learn about the Cuzco School of Art.

  • Today you will be marvelled with the beauty of the Sacred Valley! We will visit the ancient circular agricultural terraces of Moray, and the famous salt pans on terrace hills at Maras. Then you will head to the ruins and village of Ollantaytambo. From Ollantaytambo, you'll be treated to a scenic train ride through the Sacred Valley to the town of Aguas Calientes where you will stay in comfort to await the highlight of our tour.

  • Machu Picchu awaits, unveiling the mysteries that withhold in this archaeological site with a guided tour of the Incan citadel. During your tour, enjoy the magic and tranquility of Machu Picchu and the breathtaking scenery that stretches away from it.

    You can also add on a hike to the top of Huayna Picchu for a higher view of the ruins or Machu Picchu Mountain, the father mountain of this area. At the end of the tour, we will head back to take the train back to Ollantaytambo.

  • You will be picked up from your hotel and driven to the Cusco airport for your flight to Lima.
