Get to know the new Lima Airport

The new terminal at Jorge Chávez International Airport (LIM) in Lima, Peru, will officially open on March 29, 2025, marking a major expansion and modernization project that will improve the passenger experience.

The new terminal is designed to handle 24 million passengers per year, a significant increase from the previous terminal's capacity of approximately 16 million. It will help reduce congestion, especially during peak travel times, and provide a more pleasant experience for both passengers and airlines. The terminal integrates advanced technology for faster security and immigration processing, including automated passport control systems to expedite passenger flow.

The expanded facility includes more boarding gates, improved connectivity and expanded aircraft parking. There are also improvements to the runway system to reduce delays and increase operational efficiency.

The terminal is well connected to the city center by various modes of transportation, including taxis, buses and an eventual metro link, which is planned to further facilitate access.

In addition, passengers will have access to a wider variety of shops and restaurants offering local and international brands.

The new terminal at Jorge Chavez International Airport is a major step forward for Peru in terms of infrastructure, passenger convenience and its position as a regional hub. It should provide a much smoother experience for both travelers and airlines!
