New Machu Picchu circuits
From June 1st until October 15th (also on December 30th and 31st), Machu Picchu will increase its capacity to accommodate visitors during the peak season (5,600 visitors per day).
In order to protect and preserve the Inca site for future generations, 3 new circuits will be implemented, divided into 10 access routes.
Here is more information regarding each circuit and maps to the access routes, to help you choose the best option for your next visit to the Inca citadel:
CIRCUIT 1 (Panoramic): With 4 access routes
Allows visitors to get the classic Machu Picchu photo from the upper terrace and visit the citadel from above. There are 4 entrance routes, all panoramic, and depending on their choice, they can reach the Inca Bridge, the Inti Punku, or the Machu Picchu mountain:

CIRCUIT 2:
For those wishing to explore the Inca citadel, the urban area offers access to a range of locations, including the Main Plaza, the Sacred Rock or the Temple of the three windows. Please note that there are 2 access routes that are very similar. The lower terrace is the ideal location to take photos.
CIRCUIT 3:
Offers visitors the opportunity to explore the lower part of the complex, including the Condor Temple and the Inca House. This circuit provides access to Huayna Picchu Mountain and Huchuy Picchu. There are 4 access routes available, depending on your preference.

Please note that access to the Intihuatana (or Solar Clock) will be unavailable during the high season.
The high season in Machu Picchu starts on June 1st and lasts until October 15th.
ABOUT INCA TRAIL ENTRANCES:
The tickets for the Inca Trail will keep their traditional circuit.
For the 2-day Inca trail, the registration stamp at the entrance on the first day will be required to enter Machu Picchu on the second day, with no exceptions for those who cannot stamp their tickets. This means at the entrance the revision will be rigorous and you must have it stamped in order to enter with this same ticket.
TICKETS PURCHASED BEFORE THE MODIFICATION WITH ENTRANCE STARTING ON JUNE 1ST:
For passengers who have tickets purchased for visits after June 1st, there will be equivalencies implemented on their tickets depending on the capacity of each circuit. Please, take a look at the following chart:
For the most optimal experience during your visit to Machu Picchu, we advise purchasing a two-day ticket entrance package. Our recommendation is to combine any ticket from circuits 1 or 2 for the first day with any circuit 3 ticket for the second day.
